Simulation and Experiment for the Temperature Field of Water-Atomized Iron Powder Direct Metal Laser Sintering
DMLS is one of the RP technology,the main process of it is to form a 3D part by melt metal powder layer by layer,each layer's shape is just the part's section at that position.It is also one of the most hopeful methods for rapid manufacturing.In the process metal powder is melted by the high energy laser beam and then solidified,it must made the different part of the work-piece have different temperature,and the distribution of the temperature field influences the quality of the work-piece.Meanwhile the temperature field of DMLS process is difficult to measure,so it becomes a good method to combine FEM with experiment.The results of the simulations and the experiments are almost same,it proves that the simulation can be used to predict the temperature field distribution of DMLS process.
