Collection Development and Reading Promotion Based on Interactive Digital Narrative in the British Library
Libraries in the digital age should actively adapt to and use new digital technologies to innovate their services and play a better role.Based on the relevant literature and corpus,this study analyzes the innovative practices and internal concepts of the British Library on collection development and reading promotion based on interactive digital narrative,and finds that the British Library is committed to adapting to,serving,and leading the digital world by multiplying its roles,using interactive digital narrative technology as a catalyst,reflecting the national cultural memory in a comprehensive way,and innovating in reading promotion.This suggests that libraries in the digital age should fully recognize the importance of building collections in emerging formats,strengthen digital technology research and infrastructure construction,develop new forms of reading and promotion,and build digital curatorial capacity in order to maintain their value as a treasure house of wisdom of the times.
