Objective To explore the effect of lower limb nursing on prevention of deep venous thrombosis in elderly patients with long-term bed rest. Methods 92 elderly patients with long-term bedridden in our hospital from March 2017 to March 2018 were divided into two groups by random number grouping method. 46 cases in the control group were given routine nursing care, while 46 cases in the observation group were given intensive nursing care of lower limbs, and the nursing effects of the two groups were compared. Results 1.The incidence of deep venous thrombosis in the lower extremity was 6.52% in the observation group and 23.91% in the control group (P<0.05). 2.The total satisfaction rate of nursing in the observation group was 93.48%, which was significantly higher than 65.22% in the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Strengthened lower limb care for elderly bedridden patients can prevent deep venous thrombosis and improve patients' satisfaction with nursing services. Therefore, it is worth adopting and applying in clinical nursing work.
