The digital gap in the region of the Asia and Pacific is severe all over the world.This paper analysed the current situation on the digital gap of some countries in the Asia and Pacific,briefed the characters of satellite Internet and the strategic plan of relevant International organisations,also sketched the application prospect and the future development of how satellite Internet could close the digital divide in the region of the Asia and Pacific.
