A Multi-band Multi-RAT MR Combined Method for Predicting 5G Multi-band Networking Coverage after Frequency Refarming
Traditional MR coverage assessment methods can only assess the coverage of existing single-RAT networks, but not the multi-band network coverage after frequency refarming, and there is a problem of survivor bias, which leads to incomplete assessment data. With the popularization of 5G networks, frequency refarming of 4G networks is on the agenda, and it is necessary to explore effective methods to evaluate and predict the coverage effect of 5G multi-band networks after frequency refarming in advance. In this paper,by merging the MR data of multi-frequency bands and multi-RAT for network coverage reproduction,we improve the deficiencies in the traditional MR coverage assessment method, enhance the accuracy of network coverage assessment, and can predict the coverage effect of 5G multi-frequency networking after frequency refarming,so as to support the network planning and construction.
