Feasibility Study of Using Unidirectional FM Broadcasting for Regional Disaster and Accident Rescue Command
Major disasters and accidents have the characteristics of wide affected areas and strong destructive power, which are particularly prone to causing interruptions in public communication networks; In rainy weather, satellite communication equipment cannot guarantee normal operation due to rain attenuation. In addition to facing difficulties in signal transmission, personal communication equipment for firefighting and rescue personnel also faces the problem of batteries not being able to be charged in a timely manner. When carrying out rescue missions in mountainous areas, the intercom communication used by firefighting and rescue teams is easily affected by the terrain.FM unidirectional broadcasting has the characteristics of low frequency, good transmission performance, less weather impact, multiple receiving terminals, and low cost.It can be considered for transmitting various types of information, and has specific advantages in communication support for large-scale disaster and accident rescue command. This article explores the feasibility and methods of using FM one-way broadcasting for signal coverage in disaster areas to ensure the command and communication of firefighting and rescue teams.
