In March 2024,the 3GPP(the international organization that sets global standards for mobile communications)set a timetable for 6G standardization at the 103rd plenary meeting of CT,SA and RAN.The 3GPP's 6G work,which will begin in 2024 during Release 19,is an important milestone in the 6G standardization process and sets the stage for subsequent work.Among them,6G research direction has become an important research object.This paper analyzes the challenges faced by 6G from three major research directions:terahertz,intelligent metassurfacing and synaesthesia integration,and puts forward feasible suggestions for the challenges:6G should allow a hundred flowers to flourish in function,and establish an equal and open platform;In terms of technology,the road is simple,the realization method is simplified,the cost is reduced,the efficiency is improved,the technical threshold is lowered,and the technological quality is promoted.
