Objective To analyze the unqualified blood situation and distribution characteristics of unpaid blood donors in Panyu District of Guangzhou from 2019 to 2023,so as to provide a basis for regulating the recruitment strategy of unpaid blood donors and improving the qualified rate of blood collection. Methods Blood samples of 166,205 unpaid blood donors collected from Guangzhou Panyu District Central Blood Station from 2019 to 2023 were selected as the research objects for blood testing. To compare the unqualified data of alanine aminotransferase(ALT),hepatitis B surface antigen(HBsAg),hepatitis C virus antibody(anti-HCV),treponema pallidum specific antibody(anti-TP),and human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)antigen(Ag)/antibody(Ab)among unpaid blood donors from 2019 to 2023.The failure rates of different years, gender, age, educational background and different occupations were compared. Results From 2019 to 2023,a total of 166,205 specimens were detected,157,271 specimens were qualified, and the total unqualified rate was 5.38%.Among them, the proportion of unqualified ALT was the highest, which was 4.04%.The unqualified rate of blood donors showed an increasing trend year by year(χ2=366.488,P<0.001),which was mainly caused by the increase of unqualified ALT rate(χ2=487.290,P<0.001).The total failure rate and the failure rate of ALT,HBsAg,anti-HCV and HIV Ag/Ab in blood tests of different genders were statistically significant(P<0.05).Among the non-conforming items in male and female blood tests, the ALT failure rate accounted for the highest proportion, which was 5.32%and 1.22%,respectively.There were statistically significant differences in the total failure rate and ALT,HBsAg and anti-TP failure rates among unpaid blood donors of different ages(P<0.001).There were statistically significant differences in the total unqualified rate and the unqualified rate of ALT,HBsAg,anti-TP and HIV Ag/Ab among unpaid blood donors with different educational backgrounds(P<0.05).There were statistically significant differences in the total failure rate and the failure rate of ALT,HBsAg,anti-TP and HIV Ag/Ab among different occupational unpaid blood donors(P<0.05).Conclusion From 2019 to 2023,the unqualified rate of blood test among the unpaid blood donors in Panyu District of Guangzhou increased year by year.Male,26~35 years old, junior high school and below graduates and farmers have a higher proportion of unqualified blood tests,ALT,anti-HCV and HBsAg are the main items of unqualified blood tests.
