Clinical Efficacy of Glucocorticoid in the Treatment of Mass Granulomatous Mastitis
Objective To explore the clinical effectiveness of glucocorticoid in patients with mass granulomatous mastitis. Methods A total of 86 patients with mass granulomatous mastitis admitted to Nanyang Central Hospital from April 2022 to January 2024 were divided into a control group and an observation group by random number table method, with 43 cases in each group. The control group was treated with resection of mass, and the observation group was treated with glucocorticoid combined with the control group. The clinical effectiveness, levels of inflammatory factors and short-term recurrence were compared between the two groups. Results The total clinical effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of serum C-reactive protein(CRP),interleukin(IL)-2 and IL-6 in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The short-term recurrence rate of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Glucocorticoid have a good effect in the treatment of mass granulomatous mastitis, can effectively improve the short-term recurrence rate of patients, and is beneficial to reduce inflammation.
