In recent years,map journalism has become an important direction of data journalism innovation.This paper analyzes the innovation trend of future data journalism by studying the production process of map journalism.It is found that the map news team collects data through data crowdsourcing and satellite remote sensing,GPS,drone mapping,etc.,mainly using Python and R language to clean the data,and combining geospatial analysis with social surveys to analyze the data.In addition,open-source map applications provide technical support for its visualization,with location-based spatial narrative methods becoming a highlight.In the future,China should establish a cross-regional and cross-organizational data sharing mechanism,enhance interdisciplinary team building,promote technology and data open-source,and optimize multi-dimensional map presentation in the development of data journalism.
