Based on Fuller's theory of stages of concern,a survey was conducted on 576 prospective teachers to gain a specific understanding of their focus and stages of concern.Research has shown that pro-spective teachers'concerns about teachers are in two directions when they are not employed, that is to say, irrelevant attention and"unfocused"general attention. It means that the concern stage of prospective teachers who are not employed covers all stages and this attention is unfocused, which is inconsistent with the connotation of Fuller's conclusion that prospective teachers do not pay attention to teaching related content. The three stages of irrelevant attention, the general attention of teachers and the attention of nov-ice teachers collectively constitute the survival concern stage of prospective teachers.
