《史记》"因官器作煮盐官与牢盆"存在释义较多,争议纷纭.前人或认为"牢盆"分指两种不同的事物,将"牢"解释为"工价"或"场所".且句读上于"作"处绝句,断为"因官器作,煮盐,官与牢盆".经探究,"牢盆"的确诂应该为"牢固之盆","牢"乃形容词,而非名词;"作煮"应连读解释,义即"煮";该句应断作"因官器作煮盐,官与牢盆".
Abstract
There are many issues and controversies in"The Historical Records"regarding"Ying Guan Qi Zuo Zhu Yan Guan Yu Lao Pen".Previous scholars believed that"Lao Pen"referred to two different things,and explained"Lao"as"labor price"or"place".And the sentence is pronounced as a quatrain at the"Zuo"section,and it is broken as"Ying Guan Qi Zuo,Zhu Yan,Guan Yu Lao Pen".The correct defi-nition of"Lao Pen"should be"sturdy basin"."Lao"is an adjective,not a noun.The term"Zuo Zhu"should be interpreted consecutively,meaning"cooking".The sentence should be read as"Ying Guan Qi Zuo Zhu Yan,Guan Yu Lao Pen"(Boiling salt with government tools,provided by the government).
