Bailang,situated in the YouBeiping commandery of the Western Han Dynasty,is believed to be located near present-day Dachengzi in Kazuo County,as viewed through the lens of regional historical context.Geographically,the"Bailang River"has sculpted the landscape known as"Bailang Mound",sug-gesting that Bailang County might have been positioned at the confluence of the two sources of the Daling River.In terms of regional transportation,Dachengzi strategically aligns with national planning goals of"establishing cities along key transportation routes".On the administrative front,the discovery of"Baigengdu"in Tao Ming's inscriptions provides valuable clues for identifying the location of Bailang County.Dachengzi,serving as a hub connecting four cities in the region,played a crucial role in coordina-ting the political jurisdictions of the eastern part of the YouBeiping commandery and Liaoxi commandery.
