Extraction of Total Flavonoids from Taraxacum Officinale and Its Antioxidant Activities
The effects of material liquid ratio, ultrasonic treatment time, ethanol concentration, and extraction temperature on the extraction rate of total flavonoids from dandelion leaves were studied. The results showed that the optimum extraction conditions were concentration of solid-liquid ratio 1∶50(m∶V),ultrasonic extraction 40 minutes, ethanol concentration 60%,ultrasonic extraction temperature 60℃.Under these conditions, the actual extraction rate of total flavonoids from dandelion was 9.37%.The an-tioxidant activity of total flavonoids was investigated, and the results showed that the scavenging rate of DPPH(1,1-diphenyl-2-trinitrophenylhydrazine)radicals,hydroxyl radicals and superoxide anion radicals was positively proportional to the concentration of the flavonoids. The antioxidant experiments showed that the total flavonoids from dandelion have good antioxidant activity.
