Since the 1990s,university libraries have strengthened the construction of special collec-tions.After years of accumulation and development,some university libraries have achieved considerable achievements in the construction of special collections.At the same time,the theoretical research on the construction of special collections has also begun,which provides effective theoretical guidance for the con-struction practice of special collections in university libraries.A systematic review of the research achieve-ments of the special collections construction in recent years,and a summary of the achievements and short-comings,will not only promote the in-depth theoretical research on the construction of the special collec-tions,but also promote the further development of the construction of the special collections.
