On the Compilation Characteristics of Bai Juyi's Self-Compiled"Bai Shi Wen Ji"and Its Transmission to Future Generations
"Bai Shi Wen Ji"which was compiled by the Tang Dynasty writer Bai Juyi,typically re-flects the characteristics of compilation and subsequent dissemination of written collection.Bai Juyi's con-tinuous compilation,multiple preservation,and widespread dissemination of his personal collection during his lifetime ensured the long-term dissemination of the collection in future generations.The sequel"Bai Shi Wen Ji",which reflects the original appearance of the manuscript,was once replaced by the Song Dy-nasty's revised version of the"Bai Shi Wen Ji",but the former still relies on some Japanese and Korean versions to be passed down to this day.The evolution of"Bai Shi Wen Ji"suggests that we should pay at-tention to distinguishing the historical significance of different versions and pay attention to the literary value of foreign Chinese literature when studying the handwritten works collection.
