摘要
工业革命期间,以英格兰西北部为代表的内陆煤炭市场迅速崛起.传统工业部门对煤炭的需求持续强劲.而以钢铁、煤气和蒸汽机为代表的新兴产业,也逐渐成为英国的用煤大户.陆煤市场的兴起,顺应了英国工业化的时代要求,密切了煤炭业与各工业部门间产业联系,对近代英国经济的勃兴产生重要影响.
Abstract
During the Industrial Revolution,the rapid rise of the inland coal market represented by the northwest of England occurred.The traditional industrial sectors had a sustained strong demand for coal.Meanwhile,the emerging industries represented by steel,coal gas,and steam engines gradually became major coal consumers in the UK.The emergence of the inland coal market met the demands of the indus-trialization era in Britain,closely linking the coal industry with various industrial sectors,thus exerting a significant impact on the prosperity of the modern British economy.
