Research on the Embodiment and Function of Project-based Learning in College Foreign Language Courses for Holistic Education
The article introduces the core principles and implementation process of PBL,along with its applications both domestically and internationally,highlighting how PBL significantly enhances students'comprehensive English proficiency,autonomy in learning,and critical thinking.Drawing on examples from the"Understanding Contemporary China"series,the paper further explores how PBL embodies the i-deals of holistic education in foreign language teaching,particularly in fostering collaborative learning,hu-manistic knowledge,and critical thinking,while stressing the importance of metacognitive strategies in a-chieving learning goals for students.Finally,the article concludes that PBL,as a dynamic and participato-ry teaching method,offers unique advantages in the field of language education,and when integrated with holistic education principles,provides students with a comprehensive platform for development,thereby playing a crucial role in driving educational reform.
