Developing school-based curricula is beneficial for establishing a teaching system suitable for school development,fostering scientific thinking,exploration abilities,and innovative consciousness of students.The objective of constructing school-based chemistry curricula for junior high schools based on core literacy should contribute to developing comprehensive quality and abilities of students.Leveraging school strengths and students'needs for scientific curriculum design,clarifying curriculum development sequence,emphasizing comprehensive practical activities,developing innovative homework tasks and con-structing a diversified evaluation system constitute an effective way for nurturing core literacy in junior high school project-based chemistry teaching based on the C-STEM curriculum.
