The Relationship Between Middle School Students'Learning Engagement and AcademicEmotions:A Potential Profile Analysis
By using the method of random sampling,the relationship between learning engagement and academic emotions of middle school students is studied.The results show that middle school students'learning engagement can be divided into three types:positive type,moderate type and negative type.Non-onlychild is more likely to have negative learning engagement;Students in the third year of junior high school and the third year of high school are more prone to negative learning engagement than those in the first year.Middle school students with positive learning engagement have better academic emotions in terms of positive high arousal,positive low arousal,and negative low arousal than those with general learning engagement.Middle school students with general learning engagement have better academic emo-tions than those with negative learning engagement;Middle school students who actively engage in learn-ing with negative and high arousal academic emotions are better than those who engage in general learning.
