As an important type of academic journal,university journals play a crucial role in academic exchange,recognition,and dissemination of academic achievements.By tracing the historical origins of university journals and academic communities,investigating the current situation of university journals in Hebei Province,it is proposed to reshape the functions of journals with a macro open perspective,con-struct a multi-level academic community,and strengthen the interaction between journals and academic communities to achieve high-quality development of journals.
