The third plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the CPC unveiled a major strate-gic road map on further in-depth reform in all depects to advance Chinese modernization and stressed that the principles of"six insistences"must be implemented to further in-depth reform in all depects.Since the new era,the changes in the principal contradiction in Chinese society,the reform having entered into a pe-riod of overcoming major difficulties and a deep-water zone,the historical mission of building a great coun-try and moving toward national rejuvenation and global changes of a magnitude not seen in a century have put forward more realistic,more urgent and higher standards for the Party's leadership in deepening reform comprehensively.The major achievements in deepening reform comprehensively under the leadership of the Party since the new era show that deepening reform comprehensively must not only sum up experience and stick to our core,but also keep pace with the times and lead with innovation.Upholding fundamental prin-ciples and breaking new ground is a methodological principle that runs through Xi Jinping's Thought on So-cialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era,a major methodological principle that the CPC has con-sistently adhered to since its founding,and a principle for the Party's leadership in deepening reform com-prehensively in the new era.It also runs through the guiding philosophy,goals and tasks,valuable experi-ence,and specific practical paths for deepening reform comprehensively.On the new journey toward build-ing a great modern socialist country in all respects,regarding further deepen reform comprehensively as the fundamental driving force to advance Chinese modernization,we must continue to implement the methodo-logical principle of upholding fundamental principles and breaking new ground,that is,must firmly uphold and strengthen the overall leadership of the Party and the unified leadership of the Party Central Committee to strengthen the political guarantee.Besides,we must take"two combinations"as the fundamental princi-ple to follow and promote Marxism to Chinese times to provide theoretical guidance,must stay committed to socialism with Chinese characteristics to consolidate the foundation of our path,must respect the principal po-sition and pioneering spirit of our people to strengthen their strength,and must promote innovations in theory and practice,in our institutions and culture,and in all other aspects to stimulate the inexhaustible power.
