Public buildings in high cold areas face many challenges in energy conservation because of their unique climatic conditions and use requirements.How to minimize the building energy consumption while ensuring the building function and indoor environment quality has become an important issue to be solved in the field of public building energy conservation in high-cold areas,and it is also the key to realize the development of green buildings.In order to explore the effective ways and practical experience of public building energy conservation in the high cold area,the author made a systematic analysis from the aspects of climate characteristics,public building energy consumption characteristics,energy-saving technology application and so on,and combined with typical cases,the energy-saving practice of public buildings in the high cold area was discussed.
