Sculpture in the Qin and Han dynasties was the first peak in the history of Chinese sculpture.During this histori-cal stage,sculpture was a powerful tool for monarchy and politics,becoming an important way to promote the achieve-ments of emperors and generals,and beautify palaces and tombs.With the establishment,consolidation,and development of a unified centralized feudal state,the country's financial and human resources were highly concentrated.Therefore,the scale and quantity of Qin and Han sculptures far exceeded those of previous generations,and some are even unattainable to-day.The Han Dynasty sculpture was vivid and expressive,full of passion,while the Qin Dynasty sculpture presented a magnificent and realistic style,laying the foundation for the development of Chinese sculpture art.
