Porcelain pillow is one of the most representative types of traditional folk ceramic craft products in China,which originated in Sui and Tang dynasties and flourished in Song and Jin dynasties.Due to the economic development and the prosperity of the city in the Song and Jin dynasties,porcelain pillows have new requirements for the expression of art forms under the premise of satisfying practical functions.The decorative content of porcelain pillows in this period is mostly paint-ed custom pieces,especially the infant pattern that reflects the culture and artistic aesthetics.This paper takes the decorative patterns on porcelain pillows in the Song and Jin dynasties as the research object,analyzes the reasons for the popularity of the decorative patterns on porcelain pillows in the Song and Jin dynasties,and probes into the influence of the decorative language and aesthetic connotation on later ceramic art.
