Triple Interpretations of Blue and White Porcelain Images of Official Kilns in Ming and Qing Dynasties—Two-dimensional Stylized Plant Pattern
The plant patterns in Ming Dynasty official kiln blue and white porcelain have strong two-dimensional programmatic characteristics.Using Erwin Panofsky's image theory,in-depth study and exploration are conducted from three levels:pre-iconographic,iconography and iconology.By citing the imagery concepts such as motifs and symbols,the imagery interpretation contained in the plant patterns in the blue and white porcelain of official kilns were comprehensively discussed.
