In order to improve grinding efficiency and reduce energy consumption,the study utilized discrete element method to model the impact of liner height and number on the grinding efficiency of a ceramic industry ball mill.Numerical results show that the optimal liner height for a QM1800x2100 ball mill is 35 mm,resulting in the highest effective impact energy loss rate and best grinding efficiency.Moreover,when the number of lining plates is set at 10,the effective collision energy loss rate among the porcelain balls peaks,it shows that the grinding efficiency reaches the maximum under this setting.
