Analgesic and Anti-inflammatory Effects of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi Combined with Morus alba L.
To explore the analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi combined with Morus alba L..Peripheral analgesia was evaluated by using the glacial acetic acid to induce writhing response in mice and observing the number of writhing; The cen-tral analgesic effect was evaluated by the conventional hot plate method to measure pain threshold in mice; The local anti-inflammatory ef-fect was evaluated by using xylene-induced ears swelling in mice to calculate the degree of ear swelling and swelling inhibition rate;the sys-temic inflammatory response of rats induced by 20%yeast suspension was used to determine serum prostaglandin E2(PGE2),interleukin-6(IL-6),and tumor necrosis factor(TNF-α)inflammatory factors level and lung tissue damage status to study its anti-inflammatory effect. The combination of SS.baicalensis combined with M.alba can significantly reduce the number of writhing in mice induced by acetic acid(P<0.05,P<0.01),prolong the pain threshold of pain in mice induced by hot plate method, significantly inhibit the swelling of mouse auricles induced by xylene, and reduce the establishment of systemic inflammation by 20%yeast suspension the levels of PGE2,IL-6 and TNF-α in the serum of sexually reactive rats were improved(P<0.01),and the degree of lung tissue damage was improved, and the effect was better than that of S.baicalensis and M.alba.The compatibility of SS.baicalensis combined with M.alba has certain analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects, and the mechanism may be related to the inhibition of the synthesis or release of PGE2,IL-6 and TNF-α inflammatory factors.
