Correlations between Amadori Compound Contents and Quality of Cigar Tobacco Leaves from Different Regions
In order to explore the content differences of Amadori compound in cigar tobacco leaves from different regions,68 cigar tobacco leaves from 5 regions were selected to analyze the content of Amadori compound via high-performance liquid chromatography-mass spec-trometry and its correlation with chemical quality indexes in cigar tobacco leaves from different regions. The results showed that the total amount of Amadori compounds were in the order of the upper leaves>the middle leaves>the lower leaves in different areas, and the content of Amadori compounds basically followed the normal distribution. The content of Fru-Ala was the highest. Most of the Amadori compounds showed positive correlation. The content of Amadori compound in cigars from different regions showed as follows:Sichuan>Yunnan>Hubei>Hainan>Dominica. In addition,Fru-Asn,Fru-Gly,Fru-Leu,Fru-Phe,Fru-Pro and Fru-Val were significantly positively correlated with total sugar, reducing sugar, nicotine and sugar-base ratio.Nevertheless,Fru-Phe,Fru-Tyr,Fru-Ile and Fru-Ala were negatively corre-lated with potassium/chlorine ratio only. This study could provide a theoretical basis for corresponding researches about difference and con-version of cigar leaf contents from different regions.
