The Effect of Qianlie Guishao Granule on Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia Rats Induced by Testosterone Propionate
To investigate the effect of Qianlie guishao granule on testosterone propionate-induced Benign prostatic hyperplasia rat model.60 healthy 8-week-old male SD rats with body weight of 280~300g were selected.They were randomly divided into 6 groups according to body weight:blank control group,model control group,high dose Qianlie Guishao granule group,middle dose Qianlie Guishao granule gro-up,low dose Qianlie Guishao granule group and positive control group,10 in each group.After 4 weeks of oral administration,blood sam-ples were collected to prepare serum,and the contents of testosterone and estradiol in serum were measured,and the prostate tissue was col-lected to measure the wet weight and calculate the prostate index(PI).The prostatic tissues were fixed and stained by HE,and the histopath-ological changes were observed.Compared with the model control group,the serum testosterone and estradiol content in the high dose group were significantly decreased(P<0.001),and the serum estradiol content was significantly decreased(P<0.01).The contents of serum testosterone and estradiol in the middle dose group were lower than those in the high dose group(P<0.05),and the wet weight and PI of prostate tissue in the high dose group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.01,P<0.05).The wet weight of prostate tissue in the low-dose group was lower than that in the positive control group(P<0.05),and the Pi in the positive control group was lower than that in the low-dose group(P<0.05).Histopathological examination showed that the high-dose group of Qianlie Guishao granule had a better effect,which could obviously relieve the edema and congestion of the prostatic stroma,and alleviate the infiltration of inflammatory cells in the prostatic stroma,reduce the occurrence of prostatitis Qianlie guishao granule has an obvious inhibitory effect on testosterone pro-pionate-induced benign prostatic hyperplasia rats,and can regulate the changes of sex hormone levels in the body,it is worthy of further de-velopment and utilization.
