Effects of Environmental Stress on Reproductive Performance of Captive Wild Animals
Absrtact:In the process of captivity, wild animals are disturbed by a variety of stressors in the environment, resulting in their behavior and physiological stress state. These stressors have a great impact on the production performance, behavior expression, and reproductive per-formance of wild animals.Various forms of environmental stress can interfere with many different aspects of reproduction in wildlife,in-cluding physiology, gamete function, and organismal behavior. These stresses often reduce the reproductive success of the animal. In this study,we review the impact of several common stresses on animal reproduction in the environment and indirectly clarify the potential impact of environmental stress on the reproductive performance of wild animals, which would provide the theoretical basis for the feeding manage-ment of wild animals.
