To alleviate the current situation of local forage demand.The introduction experiment of Pennisetum giganteum z.x.lin.was con-ducted in Qing-yang regions during 2023.The suitable planting models of Pennisetum giganteum z.x.lin.in Qing-yang regions were explo-red.The planting densities of 120 cm× 80 cm,80 cm× 60 cm,and 60 cm× 40 cm were respectively assigned to three groups,with each group having three replicates conducted to determine their production characteristics and nutrient content.When the planting density was 80 cm × 60 cm,the content of DM、CP、EE、GA、P、K、MG of Pennisetum giganteum z.x.lin.was 27.45％、8.40％、1.21％、0.21％、0.26％、2.80％and 0.20％.After 150 d of growth,which reached the nutrient level of silage maize in the same period.The yield of Pennisetum sp.was 209 t/hm2.The income value of planting Pennisetum giganteum z.x.lin is 34 725 yuan per hectare,which is 15 525 yuan higher than the income of planting silage maize.The spread planting of Pennisetum giganteum z.x.lin.has broad prospects in Huanxian.
