Wireless Sensor Networks Energy Balance Hybrid Topology Maintenance Strategy
A hybrid topology maintenance strategy based on time and energy was proposed to achieve node ener-gy balance in response to the limited energy characteristics of unattended wireless sensor networks in harsh envi-ronments.The topology control was divided into the network initialization phase, topology construction phase, and topology maintenance phase.Under the premise of random deployment and virtual backbone network con-struction,the rationality of using energy and time as triggering conditions for topology maintenance was estab-lished.Simulation results showed that the proposed hybrid topology maintenance strategy could improve the net-work lifetime by 44.6%,and the ending time of 90%coverage increases by 1.4 times, which provided a guid-ance for energy-saving deployment of wireless sensor networks.
