Multi-point Synchronous Initiation Enhancement Effect on Explosive Train
The use of insensitive main charges in warheads and the application of insensitive explosive train place higher demands on the initiation ability of the explosive train of insensitive ammunition fuses.Based on the en-hancement mechanism of multi-point synchronous initiation,the influence of multi-point initiation on the conver-gence of detonation wave and the output power of detonation sequence was studied by theoretical analysis and numerical simulation methods.The research results indicated that,as the number of initiation points increases,the peak pressure in the center overpressure zone of the witness plate gradually increased.When the number of initiation points increased to four,the pressure growth trend slowed down.At this time,the peak pressure in the center overpressure zone could reach 2.46 times the peak pressure of a single detonation wave.The test re-sults showed that the output power of four points synchronous initiation increased by about 38.6%compared to single point initiation.
