The Fuze Accidental Drop Impact Response Characterization under Large Ship Replenishment Environment
A study was conducted on the response characteristics of ships to accidental drops of fully packed fuze munitions during lifting supply transfers. The dynamics simulation model of the fuze and ammunition packaging box was established using the ANSYS/LS-DYNA software. An analysis of the impact response characteristics of the fuze under typical drop environments was carried out,and the response characteristics of the fuze and the safety and de-isolation devices under different drop environments were obtained. Finally,a drop test environ-ment for the fuze box was set up,and the overload data of the fuze under typical drop conditions was measured, verifying the accuracy of the dynamic simulation model of the fuze box.The test validation results showed that the simulation and test overload errors were 14.4%and 12.0%,respectively,and the pulse width errors were 2.0%and 9.4%,respectively,for the fuze and box under the conditions of a 3 m horizontal drop and a 12 m horizontal drop.Further simulation calculations revealed that the peak overloads for the fuze's safety and arming device were greatest for the large altitude, vertical drop to the ground for the 921A ship deck condition. The or-der of the drop overload response of fuze to different drop floor materials was as follows:ship deck material 921A steel>45 steel plate>concrete. The overload response value of the fuze increased rapidly with the in-crease of drop height. The overload response value of a fuze's safety and arming device decreased and then in-creased as its drop angle increased.
