Analysis and Improvement of Freezing Problem of Air Pipeline Control Box for CR200J Power Concentrated EMU
To satisfy the demand of passengers in respects of comfort,economy and safety,"Fuxing"CR200J power concentrated EMUs at 160 km/h have been allocated to China Railway Urumqi Group Co.,Ltd.In winter,the power concentrated EMUs pass by sections with high cold,heavy snow and high humidity where the extreme low temperatures along the lines have been-40~-30℃over the years,and the relative humidity of the Jingyihuo Line and Kuibei Line in northern Xinjiang is 50%~80%.There have been multiple freezing cases in the air pipeline control box in trailers of the power concentrated EMU,resulting in serious failures of plug doors,dejection collectors and air springs without air supply.This article analyzes the service environment,the control logic of dryer,the air supply pipeline,the operation and maintenance of the power concentrated EMU,concludes that the low temperature and the high humidity along the operating lines in northern Xinjiang in winter are the external causes for freezing of air pipeline control box,while the asynchronism of the start and stop of the dryer and the operation of the air compressor as well as the air supply pipe joint for trailer located at upstream of the main air reservoir Ⅰ are the internal causes.After the improvement by means of optimizing the control logic of dryer and the air supply pipeline,adjusting the operation routes,optimizing the draining operation in winter and adding the inspection of dryer,the air pipeline control box hasn't been frozen to cause failures of plug doors,dejection collectors and air springs without air supply,the ride safety and comfort of passengers have been improved and the operating safety of the power concentrated EMU has been guaranteed.
