Material Design Solution with High Fire Safety Class for Low-voltage Distribution Products of Rail Transit Vehicles
This article introduces the fire safety requirement of rail transit vehicles for selection and design of materials of low-voltage distribution products and the material design solution for low-voltage distribution products dedicated to rail transit vehicles.In accordance with EN 45545 and considering the actual fire protection application in rail transit vehicles of China,it suggests that the design and selection of materials shall be analyzed and evaluated from the aspects of reducing the flammability of materials,reducing the generation and toxicity of smoke from material combustion,improve the flame retardancy of materials,reducing the fire risk caused by electrical equipment failures,effectively prevent or delay the spread of external open flame and balance the economic cost and the service performance of materials,and it also proposes relevant characterization parameters.In addition,the article compares different categories of modified nylon materials in terms of service performance and cost efficiency,compares and analyzes the material design schemes and performances of some domestic and foreign low-voltage distribution products on the market.On this basis,it customizes the material design scheme with higher cost efficiency and the highest fire safety class for products such as small circuit breakers,contactors and motor protective circuit breakers according to different customer demands,application scenarios and safety classes,taking into account the challenges posed by special environmental applications such as low temperature and high altitude for materials in order to provide the low-voltage distribution products with higher fire protection class,safety,reliability and cost efficiency for application in rail transit vehicles,ensure longer golden evacuation time in case of fire disaster and better maintain the safety of vehicles and passengers.
