With the service state of existing urban rail vehicle maintenance level greatly improved,when the vehicle reaches the design life,some key load-bearing structures,such as the carbody and bogie,which determine the actual life of the vehicle,may not reach the limit of life.If the vehicle is scrapped at this time,it will bring a huge waste of resources.In order to study the service life of stainless steel urban rail vehicles,Tianjin Rail Transit Group Co.,Ltd.set up a research project on"Extended Maintenance Cycle and Service Life of Urban Rail Vehicles"in 2021.This article mainly introduces the project background,research methods,research results,conclusions and suggestions of the project of extending service life of urban rail vehicle,which can provide reference for the coming application and research.
