A Calculation Method for Braking Performance of Train based on MATLAB/Simulink
The evaluation methods for braking performance specified by relevant braking standards home and abroad are introduced.CR200J power concentrated EMU and CR400AF power distributed EMU are taken for examples and a mathematic model is built up for the braking process of the train according to the train braking deceleration characteristics and the relevant kinematic theories to calculate the parameters such as train running resistance,ramp force and braking force of train.The software MATLAB/Simulink is used for simulating calculation of braking distance,braking time and adhesion verification of the train and simulate the variation of various forces with speed during emergency braking of CR200J power concentrated EMU.Based on the proposed train braking calculation method,the braking distance and the braking time of the train are verified by test and the test result shows that the calculation result is consistent with the testing result,proving the compliance of the braking calculation method with the design requirements.This article provides a new thinking for the train braking calculation and a technical reserve for studies on the digital twin simulation technology for braking system covering design optimization,state monitoring,performance prediction and virtual verification of braking system.
