Study on Impact of Wheelset Wear on Stability of Special Refilling Vehicle
To address the phenomenon of abnormal concave wear of wheel tread occurring in operation of the special refilling vehicle, the dynamic software SIMPACK has been used to build a dynamic simulation model for the special refilling vehicle on considering the geometrical relationship of wheel-rail contact, the wheel wear result and the geometrical relationship of wheel-rail contact within a reprofiling cycle has been investigated on the site, and the impact of different wear states of wheel on the stability of refilling vehicle has been calculated and analyzed. The study result shows:the concave wear of tread has a more obvious impact on the lateral vibration characteristic of the refilling vehicle but a smaller impact on the vertical vibration characteristic;the concave wear of tread has a more obvious impact on the stability of the vehicle, the corresponding limit cycle converges more slowly, and the concave wear of tread is prone to the supercritical bifurcation configuration. It turns out from the simulation analysis that with the same lateral displacement of wheelset, the tread with concave wear corresponds to a larger span of distribution of wheel-rail contact points on the tread and to a greater wear power,so it will more easily lead to aggravation of wear in the future.
