Analysis on Performance of Brake Air Supply System in Case of Blast Main Fault of Power Centralized EMU
The brake system of power centralized EMU adopts the dual-pipe air supply mode with train pipe and blast main. There is a one-way valve and an orifice between the auxiliary reservoir of the brake system and the blast main to supply air to the domestic reservoir when the blast main of the motor car fails,so that the vehicle-borne air consuming equipment can work normally. The article builds a model for the brake air supply system of EMU which can simulate the main air consuming equipment(the sanitary equipment)to continue the operation when the blast main of the motor car is isolated in case of fault and make the simulation analysis of the effect of the orifice diameter on the performance of brake system. The simulation result show:when the blast main fails, closing a toilet in the car,an appropriate orifice diameter can ensure the normal operation of the remaining vehicle-borne equipment without affecting the performance of brake system to guarantee the ride comfort. The article proposes a solution allowing the train to continue its operation when the blast main is isolated in case of fault.
