Research on the Main Technical Standards of Station Yard in the Serbian Section of the Hungarian-Serbian Railway Based on TSI
Research purposes:The purpose of this study is to guide the design and construction of the station yard project for the Hungary-Serbia railway. It aims to facilitate transportation organization and maintenance after completion, taking into account the railway transport, equipment maintenance, and management needs of the host country.Based on the European Union Railway Technical Specifications for Interoperability(TSI),the study compares technical standards in four aspects:track spacing, effective lengths of arrival and departure tracks, passenger equipment, and track layout.Research conclusions:(1)It is recommended to adopt the Serbian standard for station track spacing.(2)The effective length of arrival and departure tracks for passenger and freight trains is 650 meters.Stations should have arrival and departure tracks with a minimum effective length of 750 meters every 20~25 kilometers. For stations with platforms adjacent to 400-meter or 220-meter platforms, the effective lengths should not be less than 530 meters or 350 meters,respectively.(3)Platforms for international trains should be at least 400 meters long, while platforms for domestic trains should be at least 220 meters long.Side platforms should be 4 meters wide, and island platforms should be 6.66 meters wide. The platform height is set at 0.55 meters.(4)Mainline and arrival/departure tracks should use 60E1 type,R260 quality steel rails.Other station tracks should use 49E1 type,R260 quality steel rails.UIC turnouts should be selected based on different speeds.(5)The research findings can be used as reference for selecting technical standards for railway station yards in other European railway projects and domestic railway designs.
