Research on Countermeasures for Increment of Freight Railway Sidings in Large Iron and Steel Enterprises
Iron and steel enterprises,the center of the iron and steel industry chain,connect production raw materials such as iron ore,coal,coke,as well as finished steel products and accessories such as water slag,serve as important distribution centers of smelting materials and key customers of railway transportation.The national railway-based smelting material transportation has been around 1/4 of the total freight transportation for many years as a major contributor to railway transportation.With a close focus on the key links of achieving results in the adjustment of transportation structure,this paper conducted research on the railway sidings of large iron and steel enterprises nationwide,analyzed the construction and application effects of railway sidings in large iron and steel enterprises,and summarized the main factors that restrict the railway increment of iron and steel enterprises,such as transportation market competition,railway sidings construction,transportation capacity,price and equipment.Finally,development strategies were proposed to enhance the railway market share in the iron and steel industry from the perspectives of organizing full loaded shuttle traffic,promoting the construction of railway sidings,advancing the network connection&reinforcement and chain strengthening,establishing a market-based freight rate system,and upgrading railway vehicle equipment.It is of great significance to assisting in the campaign for maintaining a blue sky,accelerating the adjustment of transportation structure,and better leveraging the backbone role and green and low-carbon advantages of railways in the transportation of bulk materials.
