Countermeasures to Improve Freight Capacity of Linhe-Hami Railway Line
Linhe-Hami Railway Line is a northern channel for Xinjiang coal transportation.Improvement of Linhe-Hami Railway Line freight capacity is of great significance as it will better underpin safe and stable national energy supply transportation.Based on current situation and freight demand of Linhe-Hami Railway Line,multiple factors in transportation organization impacting the improvement of freight capacity were analyzed,including single line section capacity improvement,train operation adjustment in large sections,uncoordinated and mismatched capabilities between nodes and lines,connection of line channels,low utilization rate of boundary points,tight locomotive operation,and insufficient input of locomotive crew.Suggestions to improve the freight capacity of Linhe-Hami Railway Line were proposed to meet its freight demand including addition of an alternative line,electrification renovations,opening of some station sidings,construction of new stations to increase passing capacity,optimization of transportation organization at Linhe node,stepping up discharge,balance of transportation,and optimizing locomotive operation and crew arrangement.
