Traction Tonnage Optimization of Freight Train on China-Laos Railway
Since the opening of China-Laos Railway,the contradiction between the increasing demand for freight transport and transport capacity has gradually emerged.To further improve the freight transport capacity of the corridor,this paper studied the current situation of China-Laos Railway lines and their operation,including the basic conditions of stations and lines,the trend of freight transport demand,and the current state of traction capacity.This paper analyzed and identified the main factors restricting cross-border transport capacity from three perspectives,including limitations in terms of power supply,line facility,and customs clearance time in Boten-Vientiane section.In view of the above factors,this paper carried out the research and test on improving traction tonnage which could directly bring the most economical and effective momentum to the freight increment of China-Laos Railway.Through the selection of test sections,the determination of locomotive parameters,the calculation of theoretical traction tonnage,the determination of test items,and other studies,the comprehensive analysis and comparison of the test results show that the traction tonnage of China-Laos Railway can be increased to 2800 tons,in line with various operation standards.It provides strong support for improving transport capacity and reducing logistics costs.
