The Gulian-Mangui Railway in Mohe City is an important component of the northeast border railway in the medium-and long-term railway network planning and serves as an important part of the Heilongjiang railway network and the Inner Mongolia railway network. The Gulian-Mangui Railway connects the Fuxi Railway and Guluo Railway to the north and the Yalin Railway,Yijia Railway, and Binzhou Railway to the south. It effectively connects the Daxing'anling area in western Heilongjiang with Hulunbuir City in northeastern Inner Mongolia, greatly shortening the time and space distance between the two areas. It is a border railway that connects the western part of Heilongjiang with the northeastern part of Inner Mongolia.By analyzing factors such as transportation demand, technical standards, and engineering difficulties along the route, this study investigated two station connection plans including the expansion plan of the existing yard at Gulian Station and the construction of a new arrival and departure yard,as well as three route alignment plans along the west line of X102 County Road, the straight to center line, and the east line of S219 Provincial Road.It was recommended to adopt the expansion plan of the existing yard at Gulian Station and the plan along the west line of X102 County Road, which could better promote the economic development of Heilongjiang Province and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and provide a reference and guidance for the design of railways in complex mountainous areas.
