Development Strategy of Railway Freight Transport under the Full Life Cycle "Dual Carbon" Goal
The carbon emission from railway freight transportation is a major component of the transportation industry's carbon emission. In order to implement the"14th Five Year Plan"for green transportation development, the railway department adopts a development strategy of reducing freight emissions, which is of great significance for China to achieve the"dual carbon"goals. This paper, according to the full life cycle theory, divides the life cycle of the railway freight transportation into four stages:planning and design, construction, operation and maintenance, and scrapping and dismantling, and analyzes the interrelationships between each stage, constructs a phased carbon emission model, optimizes the carbon emission calculation method for the entire railway transportation process, and proposes targeted development strategies to reduce the carbon emissions of railway freight transportation, which helps to achieve the grand goal of"dual carbon".
