In order to improve the production efficiency of machining parts of the aluminum alloy car body and re-duce the processing preparation time,improve the machining feature recognition accuracy of car body machining parts,research on feature recognition method for machining parts of the aluminum alloy car body is carried out.Based on the analysis of the machining features and structure characteristics of the machined parts of the car body,the image-based feature recognition method and the step by step feature search method based on feature extraction surface and feature boundary ring are used to extract the machining features of the machined parts of the car body,and the attribute adjacency graph and feature surface set are constructed.According to the characteristics of intersect-ing features of machining parts of the car body,the concept of non-machined solid surface is put forward,and the cor-responding intersecting features recognition and processing criteria are designed,which can provide the correspond-ing theoretical support for the automatic programming of the following machining parts of the car body processing.
