Based on the configuration and management autual situation of measuring instruments for railway freight car in the Rizhao Car Depot,the requirements for the management system for measuring instrument are proposed.The management system for measuring instrument is developed and applied in the Rizhao Car Depot.The result has shown that by applying the management system for measuring instrument,it is possible to manage measurement instruments throughout overall process,make reasonable verification plans for measuring instrument,improve the management ef-ficiency of the measuring instrument,standardize measurement workflow,and achieve information-based manage-ment of the measuring instruments.
