With the continuous innovation of network technology,web crawler which is an efficient means of data col-lection has increasingly highlighted its research and application value in data management of metrology information system.Based on web crawler,the metrology information target to be crawled is determined,appropriate programming language is selected,the architecture and modules of data management program for the metrology information system are designed,and it is applied in a certain enterprise.The results show that it can not only stably and quickly obtain,analyze,process and store metrology data which can greatly reduce tedious manual management processes and signifi-cantly improve the data statistics efficiency of metrology staff,but also provide accurate metrology data which can pro-vide support for management decision-making when data management program for the metrology information system based on web crawler technology is used.It should be noted that the application of web crawler for data management of metrology information system requires attention to data privacy and security issues,as well as continuous optimization of data processing and analysis algorithms to meet the growing demand for metrology.
